Sourdough Sugar Cookies
Yield: 24 cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sourdough Starter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Mix sugar, shortening and cream.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, salt and sourdough.
- Fold in flour and baking powder.
- Roll out on a lightly floured board; cut with knife into 1/4 inch slices.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
