Anise Tea (Te de Anis)

  • 5 cups water
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons aniseed
  • Granulated sugar, to taste


  1. Bring water to a boil and add aniseed. Remove the pot from the heat and let it steep, covered, for 20 minutes, then strain out the seeds.
  2. Stir in sugar.
  3. The tea can be served at room temperature, ice cold or reheated.
