Blue Corn Dumplings

Instructions

  1. Combine cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cut in lard or shortening until mixture looks like meal.
  3. Add milk to form a soft, but still stiff, dough.
  4. Drop mixture by spoonsful into stew.
  5. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
