Lemonade Syrup


Keep this syrup on hand all summer for a quick cold drink.


  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water


  1. Mix together rind, juice and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add the water, cover tightly and keep in the refrigerator.
  2. To serve, put 1/2 cup syrup in a large glass with ice, then fill with water.
