Keep this syrup on hand all summer for a quick cold drink.
- 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Mix together rind, juice and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add the water, cover tightly and keep in the refrigerator.
- To serve, put 1/2 cup syrup in a large glass with ice, then fill
