Champagne Cream



  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup inexpensive champagne
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • Fresh fruit (peaches, strawberries, green grapes, etc.)


  1. Mix sugar, egg yolks, champagne and whipping cream, and cook over boiling water, beating until thick.
  2. Serve over fresh fruit.
