Japanese Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Wings

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, disjointed and wing tips removed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut wings into pieces.
  2. Dip into slightly beaten egg, then into flour.
  3. Fry in oil until brown and crisp.
  4. Put onto a cookie sheet with sides.
  5. Heat sauce until boiling. Pour over wings.
  6. Bake at 275 degrees F for approximately 1 hour. Sauce will thicken and coat wings.
