  • 12 ounces flour
  • 8 ounces granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon yeast
  • Fat for frying


  • 1 1/2 pounds granulated sugar
  • 1 pint water
  • Cinnamon


  1. Dough: Mix the yeast with a little sugar, then add the mixed dry ingredients.
  2. Beat the eggs and add to the mixture. Knead all together and leave to stand for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out and cut into rectangles.
  4. Fry in deep fat.
  5. When cooked, dip into Syrup.
  6. Syrup: Boil together with a little cinnamon for taste.
