German Red Cabbage
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 4 cups shredded cabbage (about 1 head)
Instructions
- Fry bacon.
- Add onion and sauté slightly.
- Add brown sugar and vinegar.
- Add cabbage and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
Makes 12 servings.
