Kohlrouladen (Cabbage Roll-Ups)




  1. Mix the beef and pork in a bowl.
  2. Soak the bread slices in the milk and shred.
  3. Mix with the meat, onions, and most of the ketchup, reserving 2 tablespoons.
  4. Break in the eggs and season. Mix well together.
  5. Drop 6 to 8 cabbage leaves into boiling, salted water and cook until tender.
  6. Remove; fill with meat mixture, roll up, and fasten with wooden picks.
  7. Place in greased casserole, cover, and bake at 400 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
