East Indian Curried Shrimp



  1. To make sauce, sauté onion and celery in butter.
  2. Add flour, curry powder, thyme and bay leaf. Blend well.
  3. Add chicken broth, apple, Tabasco, salt and pepper.
  4. After apple begins to soften, strain.
  5. Add monosodium glutamate.
  6. Sauté shrimp in butter.
  7. Blend with sauce and serve over rice.

Yields 8 servings.
