Butter Pecan Pizzelles

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup pecan meal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, very soft
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


  1. Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. Beat butter with a whisk until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time.
  4. Add milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk in dry ingredients 1/4 at a time, until completely mixed.
  6. Cover and refrigerate batter or process in a pizzelle baker to desired brownness.
