Japanese Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Wings

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 cup oil

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons low salt soya sauce
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut wings into pieces. Dip into slightly beaten egg, then into flour.
  2. Fry in oil until brown and crisp.
  3. Put into shallow roasting pan.
  4. Heat sauce until boiling. Pour over wings.
  5. Bake at 275 degrees F for approximately 1 hour. Sauce thickens and coats wings.

Serves 4.
