Asado (Roast Beef)

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds round steak
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Pound flour into the steak, then season with salt and pepper. Brown on both sides in very hot oil.
  3. Add remaining ingredients + 2 cups hot water.
  4. Cover and bake for about 2 hours or until tender.
