Bistek con Papas

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (bottom round)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced
  • 3 Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2-3 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to your taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the meat, salt, pepper and cumin. Cook for about 15 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the potatoes, cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. Sir in the tomatoes, chiles, onions and garlic; cover and let cook for about 25 minutes.
