Serve this with fish.
- 1 cup walnuts
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 slice white bread, crusts removed and soaked in water
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Grind walnuts, garlic and salt in a blender or mortar.
- Add bread, squeezed dry.
- Add half the lemon juice and slowly add olive oil until you have a thick, smooth
paste. Add more lemon juice according to taste.
