Swedish Pound Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
Glaze
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 stick butter
Instructions
- Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
- Cream margarine and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well.
- Add remaining ingredients, and pour into the prepared Bundt pan.
- Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees F.
- Pour glaze over hot cake, and cool thoroughly in pan.
- Swedish Pound Cake Glaze: Boil sugar and water for 3 minutes.
- Add almond extract and butter. Blend well.
