Hurricane Cocktail
A force to be reckoned with, our Hurricane Cocktail is made with both dark and light rum, as well as passion fruit, orange and lime juices. This is one of many famous drinks in New Orleans.

Ingredients
- Ice cubes
- 1/4 cup (2 ounces) dark rum
- 1/4 cup (2 ounces) light rum
- 3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) passion fruit juice
- 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) orange juice
- 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) lime juice
- 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup
- 1 orange slice
- 1 maraschino cherry with stem
Instructions
- In hurricane glass over ice, mix rum, fruit juices and grenadine syrup.
- Garnish with orange slice and cherry.
- If you don’t have a hurricane glass, you can use another tall glass.
Notes
To serve this drink in a martini glass, add 2 tablespoons dark rum, 2 tablespoons light rum and 1 tablespoon passion fruit juice to a martini shaker filled with ice; shake well. Pour into a chilled martini glass, straining out ice.
