Mississippi Roast "Birria" Tacos

Make Birria Tacos from Mississippi Roast beef!

Mississippi Roast Birria Tacos recipe

Ingredients

  • Mississippi Roast
  • Corn tortillas
  • Mozzarella cheese or cheese of choice

Instructions

  1. Follow the Mississippi Roast instructions to cook in the slow cooker then shred the beef after the 8 hours.
  2. Dip both sides of a corn tortilla into the broth from the meat.
  3. Place tortilla in a frying pan over medium heat, and add shredded meat to half.
  4. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese (or cheese desired) over the meat and fold and flip until golden brown.
  5. The broth on the tortillas acts as the “oil” so there is no need to add anything else to the pan.
  6. Serve with desired toppings, such as sour cream, sliced avocado, diced red onion, diced tomato, etc. Garnish with pepperoncini from the roast, if desired.
