Strawberry Onion Sauce
4 cups strawberries, rinsed and sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet.
Add the sliced onion and lightly sauté just until it turns clear.
Reduce heat to medium and add the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice. Simmer and stir for about three minutes.
Serve over fish or pork.
