Strawberry Onion Sauce
- 4 cups strawberries, rinsed and sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet.
- Add the sliced onion and lightly sauté just until it turns clear.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the strawberries, sugar
and lemon juice. Simmer and stir for about three minutes.
- Serve over fish or pork.
