Tamale Balls
Ingredients
Tamale Balls
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic puree
- 3/4 cup tomato juice
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
Sauce
- 2 large cans diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
Tamale Balls
- Combine beef and pork; add remaining ingredients. Mix well (it will be very dry). Roll into 1 inch balls.
Sauce
- Mix together in saucepan and simmer about 10 minutes. Next add tamale balls. Simmer until done.
