Cheese Brambles

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • Cubed American cheese


  1. Blend butter and cream cheese; blend in flour, salt and cayenne pepper. Chill.
  2. Roll 1/8 inch thick, then cut into 2-inch rounds. Place a cheese cube on half of each round; fold over and crimp edges; place on baking sheet. Chill until baking time.
  3. Bake at 450 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.
