Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 pound sausages
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Sauté onion and apple in butter in a large frying pan until lightly browned. Remove to a shallow baking dish.

  4. Bake for about 30 minutes.

Notes

Home Fries: Boil potatoes with peel (1 per person) until tender. Peel and slice. Melt butter in frying pan over medium heat. Toss in potatoes and some chopped onion (or green onions or chives). Sprinkle with paprika. Cook, turning frequently, until nicely browned on both sides. Salt and pepper to taste.
