Molasses Cake

Molasses Cake is very moist and even better 2 days old.

Ingredients

• 1 egg
• 1 cup dark or light molasses
• 1 cup sour milk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ginger
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 heaping teaspoons shortening
• 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
2. Bakeat 375 degrees F for approximately 45 minutes.
