Chocolate Chip Cookie Brittle

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts


  1. Combine butter, vanilla extract and salt.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Blend flour.
  4. Add chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Press to ends of jellyroll pan (15 x 10 x 1-inch).
  6. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Completely cool and break into pieces.
