Sesame Brittle


  • 8 ounces granulated sugar
  • 1 ounce water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame paste
  • 1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • Vegetable oil, as needed


  1. Oil a baking sheet.
  2. In a small saucepan, cook the sugar and water until caramel-colored.
  3. Whip in sesame paste.
  4. Pour onto prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the sesame seeds evenly over the caramel. Allow to cool.
  6. When cooled, break brittle into pieces.
  7. Cover and store in a cool, dry place.
