Toll House Brittle



  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup nuts


  1. Combine butter, vanilla extract and sugar and blend until fluffy; add remaining ingredients.
  2. Press into jellyroll pan and bake at 375 degrees F for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Cool in pan and turn out and break into pieces.
