Black Bottom Fruit and Nut Bars
Ingredients
- 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 4 cup slightly crushed corn flakes
- 1 cup golden or dark raisins
- 1 cup chopped red candied cherries
- 3/4 cup peanuts
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- In a small saucepan melt the chocolate chips and margarine over low heat, stirring
occasionally. Spread evenly over bottom of greased pan.
- Refrigerate until set.
- In large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients until well coated. Press firmly
over the chocolate layer n pan.
- Bake for 17-20 minutes or until edges begin to bubble
or top is lightly browned.
- Cool.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
