Brown Sugar Walnut Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 to 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup broken walnut meats

Instructions

  1. Melt butter or margarine, stir in brown sugar.
  2. Cook over low heat two minutes.
  3. Add milk and let come to rolling boil.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Add confectioners' sugar and beat until smooth and thick as fudge.
  6. Add nuts and pour into buttered pan.

Yield: about 25 pieces
