Seamark Seafood Chef Bubba's Deviled Crabs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound regular or backfin crabmeat, remove shells
  • 2 tablespoons minced onions
  • 2 tablespoons minced celery
  • 1 tablespoon minced green pepper
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 4 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 16 to 18 natural crab or aluminum shells

Instructions

  1. Combine and mix all ingredients well. Spoon into shells, heaping up in the center.
  2. Bake in preheated 400 degrees F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown on top.

Notes

If you use natural shells, wash them in 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water before using.
