Ginger Cream Bars





  1. Bars: In a medium bowl, cream sugar and butter.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and spices; add to creamed mixture.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Blend in molasses, then the coffee.
  5. Spread in a 15 x 10-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Cool.
  8. Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese; add sugar and vanilla extract and beat until fluffy. Spread over bars.

Yield: 5-6 dozen
