Bread Pudding


  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chopped dates


  1. Combine eggs with milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, bread, sugar and raisins.
  2. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  3. Place metal trivet or rack in bottom of slow cooker.
  4. Add 1/2 cup hot water.
  5. Set baking dish on trivet.
  6. Cover slow cooker; cook on HIGH for about 2 hours.
