Fritter Batter
Ingredients
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water or milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Beat egg yolk; add the butter and salt and half the liquid, then stir in the flour to make a smooth dough.
- Add the remainder of liquid gradually to make a batter, and fold in the stiffly beaten egg white.
