Marshmallow Fantasies
Ingredients
Base
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Topping
- 2 envelopes gelatine
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Coconut, red and green cherries
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Rub flour, butter and brown sugar together. Press into greased square pan.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool.
- Soak gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water.
- Boil sugar, 1/2 cup water and softened gelatine together for 2 minutes. Cool.
- Beat for 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract and salt. Spread over base.
- Sprinkle with coconut.
- Decorate with pieces of red and green cherries.
- Place in refrigerator to set.
Yields 30 squares.
