Striped Delight

This is one of my favorite desserts.


Layer 1

  • 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

Layer 2

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed

Layer 3

  • 2 (4-serving) boxes Jell-O chocolate flavor instant pudding & pie filling
  • 3 1/2 cups cold milk

Layer 4

  • 1/2 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed


  1. Layer 1: Combine Graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Press firmly into bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Layer 2: Beat cream cheese with sugar and milk until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip topping. Spread over crust. (When I make this layer I just beat the Cool Whip into the cream cheese rather than fold it in. It gives a more uniform taste.)
  3. Layer 3: Using cold milk, prepare pudding as directed on package. Pour over cream cheese layer, chill several hours or overnight.
  4. Layer 4: Spread Cool Whip topping over pudding. Garnish with grated chocolate or nuts, if desired.
