Homemade Boursin Cheese (Vegan)

By making a vegan version of this recipe, those preferring a plant-based diet will be able to enjoy this flavorful cheese too!

Yield: 2 cups


  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 8 ounces non-dairy buttery spread, softened (I use Earth Balance Original)
  • 2 (8 ounce) containers non-dairy cream cheese alternative, softened (I use Tofutti's Better Than Cream Cheese)
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor, then blend or process until smooth.
  2. Spoon mixture into a small serving bowl and chill overnight.
  3. Serve at room temperature.
