Spicy Apple Syrup
Ladle warm "Spicy Apple Syrup" over pancakes, waffles or ice cream.
Yield: 1 1/2 cups syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 (6-ounce) can frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate
- 1/4 cup sugar (or to taste; may use alternative sweeteners, such as stevia or maple syrup)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Over medium heat, cook, stirring constantly, until the syrup thickens, bubbles and clears.
