Savory Brisket


  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup black coffee
  • 1 (3 pound) brisket
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced


  1. In a large Dutch oven, brown meat on all sides.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over brisket.
  3. Cover and simmer on stove top or in a 325 degrees F oven for 3 to 4 hours, or until tender.
  4. To serve, slice on the diagonal.

Yield: 4 servings
