"Jimmy Dean" Sausage Patties
There are three different ways to make "Jimmy Dean" Sausage Patties...regular, hot or maple. All three are very good.
Ingredients
Regular
- 16 ounces ground pork*
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon rubbed dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon Accent (optional as it is MSG)
Hot
- 16 ounces ground pork
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon rubbed dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon Accent (optional as it is MSG)
Maple
- 16 ounces ground pork
- 3 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Accent (optional as it is MSG)
Instructions
- Mix ingredients for the flavor of your choice. Shape into patties and fry.
Notes
* You can substitute ground chicken or turkey for the pork.
