Instructions

  1. Mix flour, almonds, sugar and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Add egg and cold water.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill.
  5. Roll out. Place in a 9-inch pan. Prick sides and bottom.
  6. Bake conventionally or in a microwave on HIGH for 5 to 7 minutes.
  7. Cool before filling.
