Freezer Pie Dough

  • 5 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda


  1. Cut shortening into flour mixed with salt.
  2. In measuring cup, break egg; add vinegar and fill cup to top with cold water. Hold cup over bowl with flour mixture.
  3. Add the baking soda; stir and mix, then pour into flour. Mix with fork.
  4. Divide into 6 patties.
  5. Put into freezer bags and freeze.
