Cabbage Sloppy Joes

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in large skillet with onion, bell pepper and cabbage.
  2. When thoroughly browned, added remaining ingredients.
  3. Simmer over medium low heat for 10 minutes.
