Glazed Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

Bars

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, sugars and water.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
  6. Spread into prepared pan and bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chips and peanut butter.
  8. Pour over warm bars and spread evenly.
  9. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.
